About Me

If you’re looking for a travel advisor who combines expertise, honesty, and a deep respect for nature and wildlife, I’d love to help you plan your next trip.

Why Work With Me

Travel planning looks easy on the internet. In reality, that’s how people end up overpaying for the wrong hotel, racing between cities, or realizing too late that the “must-see” experience is a crowded disappointment.

My job is to make sure that doesn’t happen. I design custom, thoughtfully paced trips for travelers who care about where they go, how they travel, and what their money supports.

That means fewer tourist traps, better on-the-ground partners, and itineraries that actually fit your interests, not a template.

I Plan Trips Like I’m the One Taking Them

I don’t sell trips I wouldn’t take myself. I work with trusted local partners who live where you’re going — guides, hoteliers, and operators who know the difference between what looks good online and what actually delivers.

They’re my eyes and ears on the ground, and they’re there for you during the trip if plans change. This approach leads to:

  • Smarter routing and realistic pacing
  • Hotels that deliver real value (not just glossy photos)
  • Experiences that feel personal instead of mass-market

Wildlife, Nature, and Responsible Travel Aren’t Side Notes. They’re Core to What I Do

I’m deeply passionate about wildlife and marine conservation (yes, I’m a whale nerd), and that shapes how I plan trips. Responsible tourism isn’t about skipping incredible experiences — it’s about choosing operators and destinations that respect the environments and communities that make those experiences possible in the first place.

A percentage of my earnings is donated to marine mammal and ocean conservation initiatives, including organizations working to end the exploitation of captive whales and protect wild habitats.

When you book with me, your travel dollars support:

  • Ethical wildlife encounters
  • Conservation-minded operators for things like tours and whale watching
  • Long-term protection of the places you’re visiting

Travel can be joyful and responsible

Who I’m a Great Fit For

I work best with travelers who:

  • Want a well-planned trip without micromanaging every detail
  • Care about quality, value, and experience — not just price
  • Appreciate expert advice and clear recommendations
  • Are curious, thoughtful, and open to doing things a little better

Expertise You Can Actually Use

I bring professional training, destination-specific knowledge, and years of real-world planning experience to the table — especially in destinations where details matter, like Alaska, coastal regions, and Europe.

More importantly, I translate that expertise into clear guidance:

  • Where DIY planning breaks down (and how to avoid it)
  • When a destination is worth the splurge — and when it isn’t.
  • What first-timers consistently underestimate about quality, value, and experience — not just price
